This course guides trainees through the overall process of building a SharePoint site; from the initial site set-up, structure and navigation – to creating and editing sub-sites, pages and page content. The course is ideal for SharePoint site creators/editors or for any decision makers who are considering purchasing or upgrading to SharePoint 2013 and using it to create an Intranet, Team Site or Public Website.


Introduction to SharePoint Site Collections / hierarchy structure.
Introduction to the types of sites available – team sites, project sites and public websites.
Creating and setting up Team sites.
Building a site template.
Editing site navigation.
Creating and editing site pages
Embedding images.
Web parts
App parts
Images and renditions
Embedding video
Creating and setting up Project site
Creating and setting up public Publishing sites
Approaches to creating an Intranet using SharePoint
Further Microsoft application integrations with SharePoint​​​​


Attended Introduction course or have equivalent experience.
Familiarity with Windows PC and experience using Internet browsers (such as Internet Explorer or Chrome) to access websites.
A basic familiarity of Microsoft Office products such as Microsoft Word and Microsoft Excel would also be useful.
