We hope that you have seen the new Digital Jersey business plan for 2016 which gives our organisation a newly refined focus. Digital Jersey’s purpose is to build a digital industry for the island. We need to do this through innovation, by enabling the delivery of new products and services on-island, exporting our skills, or by attracting digital companies to Jersey

The Hub is going to split away from the industry association to ensure it is the focal point of our tech community in Jersey. It is in the Hub that we will be encouraging new tech start-ups, entrepreneurs and students as they help grow our digital economy.

As you know we are reviewing our membership structure and whilst the full details are not yet available, we are able to say that from March 1st 2016 there will no longer be a ‘community’ members section. We want to encourage our core constituents, the digital and tech community, to make full use of the Hub facility and so membership and facilities are going to be available only to those who are able to demonstrate that they work in or are clearly involved in the digital/tech sector.

There will still be the opportunity for businesses who want to engage with the digital sector to become Affiliate members, but this will come under our paid-for corporate membership offering.

We are therefore giving notice of this change which will come into effect on 1st March 2016. This may mean that you need to seek alternative office accommodation and room hire.

Further details of our membership structure will be made available shortly, but we wanted to ensure that you were given as much notice as possible of this change. We suggest that you look at Jersey Library where your requirements may be met through their newly upgraded facilities. The library staff are happy to discuss your requirements further so please contact a member of their staff on either [email protected] or 448700.

If you have any further queries please contact a member of the Digital Jersey team, but we hope that you will understand that as the association representing the digital sector in Jersey, we need to ensure our resources and facilities are serving our core community.
