The Jersey branch of the Institute of Directors (IoD) has announced the shortlist in this year’s annual search to find the top business leaders in Jersey’s private, public and voluntary sectors.

Panel chair Eliot Lincoln, founder of Greenlight and himself a winner of the Jersey IoD Director of the Year for a Medium Company and the UK National winner of the IoD Young Director of the Year, was impressed by the strength of the nominations. “So many high quality nominations made the judging extremely challenging,” he said.

The 2014 awards, sponsored by Appleby and JT, culminated in a celebration of excellence, innovation and best practice in Jersey business in an evening hosted by writer, broadcaster, former MP and one of Jersey’s favourite after dinner speakers, Gyles Brandreth. The awards recognise unsung heroes and heroines from all areas of the economy – private, public and third sectors. The past three years have seen winners of the IoD Jersey branch's Director of the Year award (DotY) go on to win their category in the IoD UK awards.

Digital Jersey would like to wish a huge congratulations to all the finalists and winners, we are very pleased to see this year has a strong digital influence.
