Frank Walker spent 15 years working for the States of Jersey; he was first elected as Deputy of St. Helier (No.3), and later as Senator, before finally being elected as Chief Minister for the Island in 2005.
Before his posts within the States of Jersey, 40 years ago, Frank became Managing Director and a major shareholder in the Jersey Evening Post, the island's only newspaper.
In addition to this, he later took over chairmanship of the Guiton Group, a company listed on the Alternative Investment Market and owners of the Jersey Evening Post, Guernsey Evening Press and ITEX. It was only in 2005 that he stepped down from that position.
In recognition of his longstanding career for the Jersey government, Frank was awarded an OBE in 2011.
