We are looking for a mid- to senior-level, full-stack mobile developer to join our remote team.

A little about us:

Parent Sense was founded out of passion for early childhood development.  We have developed mobile applications for parents to support them during the first year of their little one’s life. Our product launched in April 2020, and we are proud of our growth since then.

We are a small, remote startup team. Some of us are based in the Jersey, while others are based in South Africa. On the technical side of our business, have a preference for following best-practice Agile processes including quarterly roadmaps and working in sprints. Our current tools of preference include GitHub, JIRA and AWS cloud services.

Your role:

We are looking for someone to support our mobile applications through the next phase of growth. This includes developing additional functionality and supporting our current feature set.

You would be working most closely with a Senior Product Manager,  UX Designer, Senior Developer, and a Junior Data Analyst. 

This is a full-time position, and salary would be between GBP 4500 – 6000 per month, depending on your experience.

While this position is remote, it would be beneficial if you live in Jersey.

Our ideal candidate:


  1. Have a passion for software development and mobile technology  

  2. Demonstrated experience building high quality iOS and Android apps

  3. Proficiency in Swift and Kotlin (at least 2 years experience) 

  4. Interest in best practice mobile  UI design principles (eg. Google Material Design and Apple Human Interface guidelines)

  5. Experience with Node.js backends for mobile applications

  6. Experience with Angular Web Development

  7. Appetite to learn new technologies and cloud services in AWS.

  8. Knowledge of build systems i.e continuous integration and delivery is an added advantage

  9. BSc in computer science or other technical discipline, or equivalent working experience




  1. Comfortable working remotely and communicating a-synchronously 

  2. An eager problem-solver 

  3. Comfortable taking ownership of big pieces of work, from the planning phase right through to execution and delivery.

  4. Strong writing skills which can be applied to essential documentation and issue-logging 

  5. Have a passion for quality code and strong attention to detail.
