We work across a range of change projects, IT implementations, development programmes, migration, mergers & acquisitions in a variety of industries across our MB People, MB Digital and MB Change services.
The ideal candidate will have experience leading a team to execute test plans and test project activities, as well as being able to work to strict deadlines and with a specified budget. Key responsibilities include: – Leading and managing a team of testers, providing guidance and support. – Monitoring and reporting on testing progress and results to project managers and clients. – Conducting research on new testing technologies and methodologies and making recommendations for their adoption in projects.
Responsibilities will include:
- Develop and implement comprehensive test plans for projects, including test strategies, test cases, and test scripts.
- Lead and manage a team of testers, providing guidance and support as needed.
- Collaborate with project managers, clients, and other stakeholders to identify and prioritize testing requirements.
- Ensure that testing is completed on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.
- Develop and maintain project documentation related to testing, including test plans, test cases, and test scripts.
- Monitor and report on testing progress and results to project managers and clients.
- Identify and mitigate testing risks and issues as needed.
- Conduct research on new testing technologies and methodologies and make recommendations for their adoption in projects.
- Conduct post-project reviews to identify areas for improvement in testing processes and methodologies.
KEY SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:
Requirements:
- Strong experience in software testing and test management, including test planning, test execution, and defect management.
- Experience managing a team of testers.
- Experience working in a project management consultancy firm is preferred although not essential.
- Experience with Java script, python, and an understanding of test automation or similar would be advantageous.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in testing tools and methodologies.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment across multiple sectors.
- Experience of various project methodologies, including Agile, Waterfall and Prince2.
