Introduction to Podcasts - 6 Week Course

Please note that this course will be delayed due to social distancing. We’ll update you as soon as we can.

The number of people listening to Podcasts has skyrocketed in recent years. It’s a medium growing in popularity with both audiences and content creators. But if you’ve got an idea for a show, where do you start? What’s the first thing you need to do? What’s the second? And what’s the third? Rather than spending hours, or even days asking Google these questions, our 6-week fast track course is designed to take you from idea to finished product. We’ll cover getting started, generating new ideas and the logical steps you need to take to produce a polished show.

It is being led by Terry Stevens, a media production specialist and lecturer who has over a decade of experience in short and long form media creation.

In that time he’s worked with a host of international media producers including HBO, BBC, TED Talks, iTunes and Netflix.

The course is available for anybody looking to improve their understanding of this growing medium and try their hand at idea generation and content creation. Companies looking to upskill members of their own workforce are also invited to consider nominating somebody to attend.

The once weekly sessions, each 1.5 hours long, are twilight to allow candidates to fit them around their work.
