Hub Desk Competition

Are you a new digital business? Enter now to win small business membership and a dedicated desk for a year at the Digital Jersey Hub.

Would you like to be as successful as last year’s winners? Snap.je and Virtualreality.je are both now employing staff in their brand new businesses and after meeting in the Hub, have joined forces to launch two new enterprises.

NatWest International is sponsoring two desks at the DJ Hub for promising new digital businesses. All you need to do is write a two page business plan detailing your business and submit, below, before midnight on June 10th 2018.

Who can enter?

Anyone who is setting up, or who has recently set up a digital business can apply.

What is a digital business?
A digital business is any company whose primary capability is producing software or delivering software-enabled hardware or services.

For example: A restaurant with a website is NOT a digital company, while a business that has set up to produce a site to enable its customers to order from restaurants all over the island, is.

The simplest way to say it is that your business should be ‘producing’ something with technology, not just using it.

What to put in your application?
Write a two page business plan explaining your business idea, what stage it is at, how it fits into Jersey’s digital economy and how you plan to grow it in the next three years.

Provide information on your background and the market research you have carried out for the business idea. Your business can be a brand new start-up, or a new business poised for growth (if required you can apply to rent additional desks in the Hub).
Include your name, contact details and website if applicable.

What do you win?
Small business membership of the Hub entitles the winner, plus up to three staff, to: 24/7 access to the Hub. The Hub is the heart of the digital community and its most valuable role is to be a central networking point. In addition, members will receive weekly updates with events and training courses aimed at the digital industry.

They will also win a permanent desk space for one person from July 1st, 2018 for one year. Small business members can use the hot desking area, but our permanent desks in the Enterprise Zone, allow members to leave their belongings and have a permanent office base in a busy, thriving environment.

Plus winners will be able to access financial mentoring from NatWest International.
