Safe Exit Guidelines

From 12th June we are entering the Safe Exit Framework level 2

Guidelines for the Digital Jersey Hub and offices

Businesses should enable working from home as the default operating model wherever that is possible. Businesses with evidenced mitigation plans can re-open fully, maintaining strict physical distancing and hygiene and following sector-specific guidance.

We have conducted a risk assessment covering the considerations for a safe workplace. The number of people working within the building must be able to comfortably maintain physical distancing at all times, and there must be adequate welfare and hygiene provisions made available. The number of employees able to return to the workplace will remain considerably limited.

Guidelines for the Digital Jersey HUB

We are happy to welcome back our members to the Hub. Please see below for our social distancing and hygiene guidelines that need to be adhered to at all times when using our facilities.

Social distancing

  • The main door on Grenville Street will be open during office hours (8.30am to 5pm) and locked during lunch hour (1pm to 2pm) and at weekends. No one is allowed to use the Hub outside of those hours.
  • There will be a one-way system in place and exit will be via the back entrance of the Hub onto La Chasse.
  • For individual members, the charge for use of the Hub is £5 per day and will be charged when entering the Hub. Only card payments will be acceptable.
  • There will be 10 allocated desks available for members on a first come, first serve basis.
  • You must inform the Hub reception if you leave your desk but are planning to come back within the hour, otherwise we will consider the desk available for other members.
  • If the demand increases, we will implement a booking system for the allocated desks.
  • Social distancing of 2 metres must be adhered to at all times – failure to do so will result in removal from the Hub.
  • There will be tape and markers on the floor and on furniture in order to help you keep social distancing.
  • We are restricting access to areas such as small meeting rooms. If you would like to book one of the bigger meeting rooms, please contact the Hub reception.

Hygiene

  • Visitors will be expected to wash and sanitise their hands upon entering the Hub (with sanitiser provided). The first toilet will be dedicated to hand washing with an open door.
  • Visitors will be reminded about the advice and encouraged to wear a face mask in the Hub.
  • The desks will be wiped off with disinfectant after use.
  • The kitchen area will be available. Therefore, we will have a lectern in each kitchen reminding you to social distance whilst using the kitchen facility. The coffee machine and the water dispenser need to be cleaned and disinfected after use.
  • No food will be allowed in the Hub – only drinks.
  • No equipment (such as charging leads etc.) will be available from reception for members to use.
  • Toilet usage will be limited to one member at a time, using a one in, one out policy.
  • There will be frequent cleaning and disinfecting of objects and surfaces that are touched regularly, particularly in areas of high use such as door handles and light switches. Appropriate cleaning products and methods will be used.

Guidelines for the Offices of Digital Jersey, Floor 1

We welcome our members with a permanent desk at Floor 1. Please see below for our social distancing and hygiene guidelines that need to be adhered to at all times when using our facilities.

The number of people working within the building must be able to comfortably maintain physical distancing at all times, therefore we need to know if you are planning to use your permanent desk from 15th June. We kindly ask you to e-mail us at info@digital.je if you are planning to use your permanent desk. We will end the payment holiday as soon as you start using the desk.

Social distancing

  • We will plan for the minimum number of people needed on site to operate safely and effectively.
  • There will be a one-way system in place. Entry will be via the main entrance on Grenville Street with the lift to F1. Exiting F1 will be via the stairs and out the back entrance onto La Chasse.
  • Social distancing of 2 metres must be adhered to at all times – failure to do so will result in removal from F1.
  • Desks will be positioned in such a way to accommodate social distancing – which will result in some members having to move from their current one.

Hygiene

  • Everyone will be expected to sanitise their hands upon entering F1 (with sanitiser provided).
  • The kitchen area will be available. Therefore, we will have a lectern in each kitchen reminding you to social distance whilst using the kitchen facility. The coffee machine and the water dispenser need to be cleaned and disinfected after use.
  • Toilet usage will be limited to one member at a time, using a one in, one out policy.
  • There will be frequent cleaning and disinfecting of objects and surfaces that are touched regularly, particularly in areas of high use such as door handles, light switches and printers. Appropriate cleaning products and methods will be used.
  • We encourage opening windows and doors frequently to increase ventilation where possible.
