Cineworld Jersey

We’re inviting you to Digital Jersey’s Annual Review at Cineworld on Friday 31st January. Join us for a networking breakfast in the foyer from 07:45am, with a prompt 08:15am start to the presentations and a 10:15am finish. We know your time is precious, but we also know you are not going to want to miss out on the incredible list of global experts we have lined up for you.

We will kick off the event with our 2019 highlights and look ahead to this year’s plans, before two of the most influential men in FinTech take to the stage. Nick Ogden is one of the founding father’s of the sector, launching the pioneering WorldPay, and most recently the first clearing bank in the UK for over 250 years. Nick is being interviewed by a man described as one of the global top 15 favourites for sources of business information, and a top ten most influential voice in banking, the digital finance advisor and commentator, Dave Birch.

AI and data are the subjects of our next expert talk, with a computer scientist whose work has been hugely influential. Dame Wendy Hall co-chaired the UK Government’s AI review, is their first Skills Champion for AI in the UK, and has been a member of countless highly regarded committees. She is also Regius Professor of Computer Science and Executive Director of the Web Science Institute at the University of Southampton. Dame Wendy will be joined by Alexis Wintour, Managing Director of Marbral Advisory, the rapidly growing change management consultancy.

Finally, we have three leading IoT experts shedding light on how Jersey can be a smart, sustainable Island. Gary Barnett, one of the founders of AirSensa, has advised the UK’s Digital Catapult programme and IoT-UK, as well as senior management at some of the world’s biggest digital businesses, including IBM.  Joel Alexander Mills is an expert in complex data visualisation and simulation and the founder of AugmentCity, which is creating a game changing tool for Smart cities in collaboration with the United Nations. They’re joined by Kari Aina Eik, Secretary General of the Organization for International Economic Relations and the leader of the United for Smart and Sustainable Cities U4SSC Implementation Program.

We look forward to you joining us on the 31st, and if you haven’t registered yet, please do so here as tickets are going fast!
