Digital Jersey Launches New Industry Association Memberships

Following the announcement in December that the Digital Jersey structure would be changing, to separate out the work of The Hub from that of the Industry Association, the organisation has today launched a new membership scheme with two categories; one for local corporate businesses, and one for off-island, global affiliates. Aimed at companies that would like to engage with and influence the direction of Jersey’s digital sector, the two different membership options will enable closer collaboration between businesses on development of strategy for the island.

The first membership package (Corporate Membership) is designed for local companies that have a serious commitment to digital strategy as part of their business model.  The benefits include opportunities to sit on our Advisory Group, participation in sector specific working groups, events, contribution to policymaking to help further businesses’ commercial interests and those of the digital economy, as well as access to strategic research and information.  Additionally Corporate Members will benefit from promotional support for their business and access to The Hub.

The second membership package (Global Affiliate) is aimed at international organisations that would like to engage with the digital activity taking place in Jersey, and form partnerships with local businesses.  The benefits for Global Affiliates include invitations to Digital Jersey networking events, regular updates on important developments in Jersey’s digital sector and support to introduce and promote their organisation to the right on-island contacts.

Tony Moretta, CEO of Digital Jersey commented:

“We announced in our 2016 Business Plan that we were changing the way that Digital Jersey is structured, to give a stronger voice for all parts of the local digital sector, and to make sure we’re focusing our efforts where they’re most useful.   As part of these changes, these new industry association memberships are designed to be simple, fair and focussed on making sure local companies are well represented, while we also build valuable collaborative relationships with non-tech and non-local firms.

We are now looking for businesses to join that would like to actively engage with the key activities of Digital Jersey, with benefits including opportunities to sit on our Advisory Group, participation in sector specific working groups, events and much more.”

The local Corporate Membership package is based on a sliding fee scale, between £1000 and £5000 per annum depending on headcount. The Global Affiliate package is £1000 per annum.
