Digital Jersey Limited, the organisation that has been established to position the Island as a centre for digital business, welcomes new Chairman, Paul Masterton, this week. This is the first appointment for Digital Jersey with recruitment of the Chief Executive and Non-Executive Directors now set to begin.
Paul’s extensive business knowledge and international experience, including establishing new businesses in rapidly changing markets, will guide the development of this important initiative, with the ultimate aim of diversifying Jersey’s economy and creating new employment.
Recently Paul has led Durrell Wildlife Conservation Trust as Chief Executive and is credited with reviving the fortunes of the international conservation charity, placing it on the path to financial security, expanding its international conservation work and rebuilding the wildlife park as a visitor attraction. Before Durrell Paul spent 25 years with RR Donnelley, the world’s largest provider of printing and integrated communications services, in multiple roles including president of the company’s European business. Paul brings to Digital Jersey the combination of leading complex businesses in highly competitive industries, a track record of global investment into new markets, together with the understanding of the operating in Jersey and experience in marketing a key Jersey brand.
