Role Summary:

The Custody team is responsible for managing the digital custody services offering which comprises of client management and transaction processing, systems maintenance, and monitoring, reporting and operational risk reporting. As part of an agile team the post-holder will be expected to be flexible and may be required to assist across the wider regulatory, legal affairs and cyber-security aspects of the business as directed by their reporting line.

The post-holder will work within the Custody team ensuring that the business fulfills its obligations both to its clients and regulators. This is a client facing role and the Team will be responsible for ensuring the timely and accurate review and action of client requests, the operational take-on of new clients, cyclical client reviews, and the oversight and management of our internal and external systems.

In order to support the business’ expansion and meet the strategic needs of our clients, the postholder may be required to work outside of normal business hours on occasion.

Duties & Responsibilities

Ongoing monitoring and control

  • Process and monitoring of all client requests on a daily basis.
  • Resolve queries raised by clients and stakeholders, seeking guidance from Compliance whererequired.
  • Engage with newly on-boarded clients to facilitate the operational take-on and set-up of entities and users.
  • Undertake cyclical reviews; Client reviews, Procedure up-dates and Administrative tasks.
  • Work closely alongside Analytics Team to ensure data management and system integrity of allinternal and external systems.
  • Take active interest in changes to the Financial Services industry
  • Form an integral part of the front to back process flow. Review processes and procedures to identify weaknesses/inefficiencies and recommend remedial action as required.
  • Change management; ensure changes to business processes and system updates are appropriately tested and implemented in a timely manner.
  • Work with Compliance to understand new regulatory requirements and ensure we fulfil our obligations.
  • Deliver new and enhanced systematic controls, minimise risk and improve efficiency. Undertaking any other such duties as may be reasonably required by the role.

Qualifications, Skills & Experience:

Industry experience in financial services via work placement or similar in one or more of the following: operations would be an advantage:

    • Banking/securities operations
    • Trust or fund services
    • Custody support
    • Clearing and settlements
    • On-boarding and/or client reviews.
  • An interest in the field of Fintech/Digital Assets essential.
  • Commercially orientated with a good understanding of the economic and social context of thebusiness and financial services in general.
  • Comfortable communicating effectively both internally and externally at all levels verbally and in writing.
  • An aptitude for systems and technology.
  • An eye for detail.
