Vaiie is a leading RegTech SaaS company based in Jersey, Channel Islands. We help regulated financial services firms simplify and secure their client onboarding through Vaiie Onboard & Vaiie Identify – our digital onboarding and identity verification platforms trusted by regulated firms across the Channel Islands and IFC’s globally.
Following our management buyout, we’re scaling our platform and enhancing the user experience across every touchpoint. We’re now looking for a Senior Developer with a frontend focus to play a key role in shaping how users interact with our technology.
About the Role
In this role, you’ll focus on building high-quality, intuitive and responsive user interfaces for our SaaS platform. You’ll work closely with product, design and development colleagues to transform complex regulatory workflows into simple, elegant digital experiences. This is an ideal opportunity for someone who is passionate about UX, performance and modern web technologies.
Our tech stack currently includes TypeScript, React, Next.js, MongDB, Azure and .NET. We believe in finding developers with the right mindset and experience and teaching you our tech stack rather than hiring people who happen to have used similar tech before.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain user-facing features within the Vaiie Onboard SaaS platform
- Build responsive, accessible and high-performance front-end interfaces
- Collaborate with UX/UI designers to translate wireframes into functional experiences
- Work closely with back-end developers to integrate APIs and services
- Ensure cross-browser and cross-device compatibility
- Optimise applications for speed, scalability and security
- Participate in code reviews, sprint planning and Agile ceremonies
- Contribute to continuous improvement of front-end frameworks, tooling and standards
Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
Essential:
- 3-5+ years’ experience building web applications
- Strong proficiency in JavaScript / TypeScript
- Experience with modern front-end frameworks such as React or Vue.js
- Solid understanding of responsive design, accessibility and UI/UX best practices
- Experience consuming REST APIs and working with JSON data
- Strong attention to detail and a passion for clean, maintainable code
- Confident communicator who enjoys working in a collaborative environment
Desirable:
- Experience working on SaaS products
- Knowledge of Next.js
- Full-stack or backend development experience (most of our backend is .NET)
- Interest in functional programming patterns
- Exposure to public cloud environments (we use Azure)
- DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines
- Experience with design systems, component libraries or Storybook
- Interest in RegTech, FinTech or compliance-focused technology
- Exposure to the financial services industry
