The future of fundraising in Jersey

Posted: 01/09/2025

A brand new online platform has launched in Jersey, making it quicker and easier than ever before for local charities to fundraise.

JerseyGiving is the Island’s first dedicated fundraising platform built specifically for the Jersey community. It has been designed by RaceNation// SportsGiving working in collaboration with the local charity sector. RaceNation// SportsGiving have a proven track record for developing such technology, having already worked with over 6000 events across the UK and Channel Islands and processed over £35 million for events and charities on its existing platforms since 2014. The official launch of JerseyGiving on 23 September 2025 comes less than a year after PwC Channel Islands published its landmark Value of Jersey’s Third Sector report, which identified technology adoption and strategic long-term, local partnerships as critical to ensuring the sustainability and growth of the sector. JerseyGiving is that purpose-built solution - removing barriers to fundraising and strengthening donor engagement by bringing everything charities need into a single, Jersey-centric platform. Will Golder, CEO of RaceNation said: “As a technology company founded in Jersey, nothing makes us prouder than launching a product that is dedicated to the Island. Having already enabled charities to automatically raise 25% more on eligible donations through our Jersey Gift Support digital declaration, JerseyGiving takes our longstanding commitment to the Island one step further. Now, Jersey has its own dedicated platform to power all of the Island’s fundraising and crowdfunding; empowering charities and good causes to raise more money, more easily.” Cheri Strudwick, Director of Income Generation for Jersey Hospice Care said: “We’re delighted to have been working alongside RaceNation on Jersey’s first dedicated fundraising platform. The focus of this project has been to ensure that the platform works easily and seamlessly for the supporter, and at the same time enables the charity to improve its efficiencies from an administration perspective, and importantly to utilise the Jersey Gift Support scheme into the giving process. For the past six weeks, all donations made on the Hospice website have been via the JerseyGiving platform.  This new platform is an important digital step for our Island’s charity sector, and I look forward to speaking to other charities about it in more detail.” The launch of JerseyGiving will be held at 08:30 on Tuesday, 23 September 2025, at BDO, Windward House, with presentations from Will Golder (CEO, RaceNation), Cheri Strudwick (Director of Income Generation, Jersey Hospice Care), and additional speakers. Charities and non-profits across the Island are invited to attend to explore the platform’s key features and benefits, and to hear directly from Jersey Hospice Care about how they have integrated JerseyGiving into their fundraising strategy- offering practical insights for other charities looking to do the same. Services include the Specialist Palliative Care Team and Living Well Team – who support people at home, in hospital, and in care homes, an In Patient Unit providing a home away from home, educational programmes, complementary therapy, emotional, spiritual and faith support, and community bereavement services. Jersey Hospice Care is an independent charity, providing all its services without charge to patients. It costs £18,000 a day to run – funded mainly by the generosity of islanders.
