We are pleased to announce that along with JT we will be supporting ‘Jersey Coders’, a new project set to launch in the New Year.

We with rapid movement in technology and increase in digital, Jersey lacks behind in the correct skills to fully participate in this dynamic environment.

Gwyn Garfield-Bennett is a local parent that has organised the launch, said: "I am forever hearing that companies cannot find the technically skilled workforce in Jersey to be able to base their digital businesses here. We are going to be left behind as Asia and Africa invest in their IT education.”

The after school club will be aimed at students Year 7 and above with an interest in coding and computing to come together and increase their knowledge and creativity. It hopes to invest in the Island’s young people to ensure a strong IT future.

Gwyn Garfield-Bennett is a local parent that has organised the launch, she said: "What we would like to create is an atmosphere where technical creativity can be nurtured and where mentors can inspire our young people.”

We will be providing the club access to our new Digital Learning Hub as a base for meetings which will launch one night a week to begin with.
