FAQs

Who can participate in STEM Racing programme?

Teams aged 11-19 can join the secondary STEM racing programme by registering for Entry, Dev, or Pro Class. Primary school students aged 9-11 can also participate through school-led initiatives.  

When are the next Regionals?

Secondary School Regionals – Wednesday 10th December 2025

Primary Class Regionals – TBC (February)

When does registration open?

School registration will open on 19th June 2025, allowing teachers to enrol their schools in the programme.

What CAD software should I use?

We recommend using On shape and Fusion 360 – they are free software for educators and students. 

STEM Racing are providing free fusion fundamentals course, please see dates below:

  • 1st July (9am to 5pm) and 2nd July (9am to 1pm)
  • 8th, 9th and 10th July (5pm to 9pm)
  • 12th July (9am to 5pm) and 15th July (9am to 1pm)

For students eager to learn, there are excellent tutorials available on YouTube as well as within the CAD software itself.

What are the rules and regulations for the programme?

Please view STEM racing website which provides rules and regulations documents for each class. There is also a guide to help with regional competition preparation.
