De Wet joined the team as Finance and Operations Manager, coming from an audit and banking background. As a qualified chartered accountant (CA(SA)), he started his career as a Trainee Auditor at BDO Incorporated in South Africa and moved to Jersey as an Audit Senior through EY. Following 4 years of audit, De Wet worked in Internal Finance roles for 5 years at BNP Paribas and Royal Bank of Scotland International.
As an auditor, De Wet worked in various industries across multiple jurisdictions, mainly focussing on financial statement preparation, compliance and audit functions.
Working in Internal Finance, his main responsibilities included financial- and regulatory reporting, managing external audit and tax processes, streamlining processes and procedures and working on business transitioning. Also actioning as the lead on various projects.
