Overview

Plenty of AI projects never get past the idea. Someone’s keen, the use case sounds reasonable enough, and then it quietly stalls because nobody put a number on it or worked out who had to approve it.

This programme teaches you how to get one through. You bring a real problem from your own organisation and work it the whole way, because that’s how the method sticks, but the project isn’t the point. The point is that you can run the next one yourself.

Dates

Applications close: 30 November 2026

Launch Session: Monday 7 December 2026, 2pm – 5pm

Weekly Sessions: Every Monday from 18 January – 8 March 2027, 2pm – 5pm, except Week 4, which takes place on Friday 5 February.

Location: Digital Jersey, in person

Digital Jersey reserves the right to cancel the programme if minimum numbers are not reached.

Who It Is For

You’ll get the most out of this if you turn up with a problem that’s yours to fix, or two or three you’re choosing between, and you can act on it when you get back to the office.

It helps if this won’t be the only AI project you ever have to run, because most of what you take away is the method rather than the answer.

You won’t be asked to write any code. It isn’t an introduction to AI either, so if you’re after the basics, start there and come back when you’ve got a project worth the eight weeks.

How This Differs from Let's Build AI

This programme gets one idea from “we should probably do something about AI” to a scoped, costed case that somebody will sign. Let’s Build AI picks up ideas that are already scoped and builds them.

What you will be able to do afterwards
  • Spot the problems in your own organisation that Al suits, and rule out the ones it doesn’t
  • Put a number on what a problem is costing you that finance will accept
  • Write a business case that survives a proper review
  • Work out who has to approve something, and what they’ll object to
  • Judge whether a tool, an agent or a prototype is the right answer
  • Scope a pilot so you know in advance when you’d stop
What you take away
  • The problem you chose, with the case already made for it
  • A working prototype
  • A governance check covering risk, data protection and procurement
  • A plan for getting it adopted, with the people who have to say yes already named
  • A CPD certificate

  • Identify and assess potential AI opportunities within your organisation, evaluating their impact and feasibility.

He works with AI and automation every day, building real systems for financial and professional services firms, so the sessions stay grounded in what actually works rather than what is merely cutting edge.

A mechanical engineer by training, he is an introvert who would rather ship something useful than talk about it.
