Policy Centre Jersey

The Policy Centre Jersey is an independent think tank, registered Jersey charity, and member of the Association of Jersey Charities.

The Centre aims to enhance knowledge and civic engagement in Jersey, thereby contributing to more effective policy making, resulting in better outcomes for all Island inhabitants by:

  • Expanding opportunities for public understanding and involvement in policy
  • Providing a forum for policy discussion
  • Publishing accessible summaries of key issues and relevant research
  • Continuing to maintain the Jersey Knowledge Centre, with brief up-to-date papers on all aspects of Jersey (history, economy, constitution, geography etc) aimed particularly at schools/colleges and universities
  • Supporting students and studies on Jersey-related subjects through the Academic Centre
  • Commissioning and undertaking authoritative research on policy issues and the policy making process

The Policy Centre Jersey publishes a monthly newsletter and think pieces plus policy briefs on significant policy areas such as the cost of living, housing, population, healthcare, external relations and education. The Centre is not aligned with any political party, grouping or philosophy and is rigorously objective. It seeks to collaborate with similar bodies in the Channel Islands, UK and other jurisdictions.
