This is a two-day course providing a general introduction to electronic components and circuits, aimed at a general audience of all age groups. The content is descriptive with a minimum use of mathematics. You will learn about the basic building blocks of modern electronics, such as transistors and diodes, how they work and how they have developed and evolved to their present manifestations in computers and smartphones. You will learn how to read a simple electronic circuit diagram and how to assemble and test some simple working electronic circuits.
The course delivery is interactive with “hands-on” circuit building exercises that are designed to be fun as well as informative. No prior knowledge of electronics is assumed. This is an ideal primer for those considering electrical engineering or computer science for higher study or university.
