Local security expert, David Cartwright of CIISF, will look at the growing threat of ransomware as a global cyber security risk. The presentation will cover:

Ransomware is a genuine threat that is here for the long run: and even if you’ve not suffered a ransomware infection, many of the businesses around you certainly have. As with any cyber threat it’s impossible to protect completely against a ransomware attack, and so it’s imperative that you know how to deal with one. This talk continues the CIISF’s programme covering the practical aspects of cyber security, and describes both how you can minimise your vulnerability and what you should do if the worst happens.
