About the Event:
This event is the inaugural session of a series aimed at exploring the potential of data trust and data stewardship services in Jersey. The focus will be on healthcare, with a keynote presentation about the Foresight Project, followed by a panel discussion and networking session. The event will explore how data trusts can support and enable initiatives like Foresight to collect, analyse and share healthcare data to advance health research and generate commercial returns.
About the Foresight Project:
Led by the charity Action Against Age-Related Macular Degeneration, Foresight will build a database of 1 million retinal images from non-clinical settings to help develop AI-enabled approaches to diagnosing and treating AMD and other degenerative diseases.

Dr. Wen Hwa Lee, PhD
Chief Executive Officer & Chief Scientist, Action Against AMD & Foresight Project Lead
Dr. Wen Hwa Lee is a renowned molecular and structural biologist with extensive experience in drug discovery and international collaborations. Formerly at the University of Oxford, he has led major public-private partnerships and advised government and charitable institutions on integrating scientific and societal impact.
