EWG, the digital Fintech partner for fiduciary, corporate and fund-services businesses, is working with ClearBank to strengthen the payment infrastructure underpinning its platform and expand the capabilities it offers to clients.

ClearBank is a technology-enabled clearing bank with regulated banking operations in the UK and Europe, providing real-time banking and payments infrastructure to financial institutions, fintechs and businesses.  Through ClearBank, EWG gains access to additional and diversified  payment rails, including a track ahead to offer clients Jersey centric sort codes and EU IBANs, alongside enhanced account functionality, faster payments and greater counterparty resilience with central banks.

The relationship represents a strategic expansion of EWG’s capability , strengthening the foundations of its existing platform while creating further scope for product innovation as client expectations continue to evolve.

Warren Sanders, EWG Founder Director, said: “Working with ClearBank is a natural next step in EWG’s evolution. We have always focused on removing friction from complex financial operations, and the infrastructure behind how money moves is fundamental to that.

“ClearBank strengthens that infrastructure, giving us access to diversified payment rails and greater resilience while expanding what we can offer clients. It means we can continue to build around the way our clients actually operate, rather than asking them to adapt to outdated banking infrastructure.”

The move comes as expectations around speed, transparency and resilience in financial services continue to rise. For fiduciary, corporate and fund-services businesses managing complex international structures, payments are increasingly expected to be near real-time, trackable and available beyond traditional banking hours.

Through ClearBank, EWG will be able to provide clients with greater choice in how payments are made, supporting faster and more resilient domestic settlement while maintaining its existing international payments and multi-currency capabilities.

ClearBank complements EWG’s existing client services in the provision of multi-currency and foreign exchange capabilities. Working with ClearBank will enable EWG to enhance international currency movement with strengthened  payment infrastructure through a single EWG relationship.

“Clients are provided with a unified and simple interface via our platform application or API that enables clients to manage complex account structures & transactional requirements in a simple and intuitive manner,” added Warren. “Our role is to bring those capabilities together through a single, technology-led relationship and make the underlying complexity as invisible as possible.”

The development comes as EWG marks its 15th anniversary, a milestone that reflects the company’s evolution from a specialist currency-management business into an integrated, API-first financial services platform spanning multi-currency accounts, cross-border payments, escrow and currency management capabilities.

Over the past 15 years, the financial services landscape has changed significantly, with technology increasingly embedded into the way professional-services firms manage international structures and move money.

EWG believes the next phase will be defined by embedded financial services, automation and real-time connectivity, with financial infrastructure increasingly integrated directly into the systems and workflows that businesses already use.

EWG’s use of ClearBank’s infrastructure is intended to support that evolution by providing scalable infrastructure capable of supporting EWG’s continued growth and innovation.

“The last 15 years have been about building the platform and continually innovating to deliver the financial services that clients need. Working with ClearBank is about reinforcing the foundations underneath it so that we can continue to scale and innovate over the next 15 years,” concluded Warren.

“Ultimately, the message is simple: we are investing in the infrastructure that enables us to keep making complex financial operations faster, more resilient and easier for our clients.”
