Operations Manager of C5 Alliance’s 24/7 Managed Services Operations team, Joe Cabral, has achieved his Level 3 Diploma in First Line Management from the Chartered Management Institute (CMI).

To gain his accreditation Joe took part in a CMI course consisting of six modules that focused on developing a deep understanding of team management. The modules built on vital skills in personal development, resource planning, meeting stakeholder needs, communication, identifying development opportunities and improving team performance.Joe’s accreditation comes as part of C5’s ongoing programme of investment in staff skills and improvements for clients in 2016. This has also included the BCI accreditation of Data Centre and Facilities Manager, Phil Heath, as well as the recent refurbishment of the company’s Business Continuity suites and client facilities at Rue des Pres. Joe received his CMI certificate at a formal presentation.Joe Cabral commented: “I’m delighted to have completed and passed my CMI Level 3 course, it’s great to be part of a company that is willing to invest in employee skills. I really enjoyed taking the course, it has reinforced a lot of what I already do and provided underpinning theory to back it up as well as given me the guidance I need to continue to progress my management skills. I have already begun to apply my new management knowledge, techniques and skills to improve my team’s development and help them to succeed and create positive outcomes in this demanding IT environment.”Antony Allen, Director of Managed Services at C5 Alliance, commented: “At C5 we know that investing in our employees’ skills is vital, so we actively encourage employees to take courses that will build on their existing knowledge in relation to their individual roles. This type of inward investment is particularly beneficial because employees know they are valued and develop new skills, progressing their career, while clients can rest assured in the fact we are constantly learning to deliver the best standard of IT services possible. As an Operations Manager, Joe’s commitment to developing his skillset by taking this CMI course will also have a positive impact on the Managed Services team, as he now has the knowledge to help to nurture and develop his individual team member’s too. Seven C5 employees are currently enrolled onto different training programmes and many more are due to begin courses over the coming months. We look forward to celebrating their success!”Find out more about C5 Aliance 24x7x365 Managed Services support: https://www.c5alliance.com/services/managed-services/
