Rob Easton, Head of Google’s UK and Ireland Cloud Platform is the key speaker at Digital Jersey’s August seminar. The seminar will be held at the Digital Jersey Hub on 21st August from 6.00pm.

Rob is Head of Google’s UK and International Cloud Platform Business, responsible for managing customer relationships and developing partnerships spanning the various Google technologies. With 15 years experience in the industry Rob understands the importance of analysing big data and the challenges that come with it, as well as the significance of a clear vision for scalability at the beginning of any tech start-up.

Rob will present to members of industry, covering the following topics:

  • Tech start-ups, and how Google can help

Overview of Google. Google Culture. Assisting "tech startups" through Google Cloud Platform and Google Campus. Mentoring

  • Big Data in the Real World

Business change through IT change. Google working with BigData. Driving factors in the market. Internet of Things

Paul Masterton, Chairman of Digital Jersey, commented:

“We are delighted that Rob will be in Jersey to present on such topical matters. Digital Jersey already works with a number of tech start-ups and we continue to hear from people who are keen to understand what is involved and how to get started. Google Ventures’ recent launch of $100 million of funding to support European tech start-ups highlights just how invested they are in supporting the potential in emerging companies.”

The presentation will include the opportunity for Q&A after each topic and members of industry are encouraged to register early due to limited spaces.
