The University Centre Jersey and Highlands College are pleased to announce that the new Higher National Diploma (HND) in Computing course, that starts from September 2019*, will be part delivered at the Digital Jersey Academy premises (opening in September 2019) to ensure students are at the heart of Jersey’s growing digital industry.
A full-time two year course, that provides students with the option to upgrade to Level 6 (degree with honours) at a relevant university, the course content has been carefully put together with input from key members of local industry to ensure students are uniquely prepared to progress into employment in the wide range of local computing and digital industries.
Students will have direct involvement with local companies as they will be on work placements for much of the two years using these experiences to inform their academic studies as well as providing the opportunities for gaining full-time employment on completion of the course.
The course will cover a wide range of units over the two years to ensure learners are best prepared for progression into the computing and digital sectors. The units that will be delivered are:

Website Design and Development

Business Intelligence
Information Security Management

Two from the following four units:
Cloud Computing
Network Management
Artificial Intelligence
User Experience and Interface Design
