C5 Alliance, the largest technology solutions provider in the Channel Islands, has launched a series of breakfast briefing events.

C5 Alliance, the largest technology solutions provider in the Channel Islands, has launched a series of breakfast briefing events to help businesses unlock the full potential of their data. The ‘Insight to Action’ sessions will also demonstrate how Robotic Process Automation (RPA) and Microsoft’s Power Platform can improve customer engagement, operational efficiency and profitability.

“We’re excited to launch this breakfast briefing series. While the concepts of using data more effectively and automation have been around for some time, there are exciting technologies emerging from vendors such as Microsoft and UiPath, all of which can enable a business to digitally transform and enhance customer engagement and performance,” said John Gamble, Director of Professional Services at C5 Alliance.

C5 Alliance and BDO Jersey experts will host the briefings and the first session, which was on 22 November, was about ‘Power Apps and Nerf Guns’. During the talk, businesses learnt about Microsoft’s Power Apps and how it provides the ability to swiftly build efficient, effective and cross-platform business apps with minimal code. The apps can be used to digitally transform an existing business function. There was also a demonstration on how to build an AI-infused app which can be combined with Power Automate and Power BI to provide useful information for businesses.

The next three sessions that have been confirmed are: ‘The Robots are Here!’, ‘RPA Use Case: The Rule-based Bot’ and ‘Power BI Intro and Getting Started’.

‘The Robots are Here!’ session on 29 November will explain what RPA is, how to use it and will demonstrate how it can promote human achievement through technology. RPA streamlines processes and uncovers efficiencies to provide insight, making the path to digital transformation fast and cost-effective.

The following session, on 6 December, will demonstrate how businesses can develop and use rule-based bots to automate mundane processes.

Power BI is a data reporting and analytics tool and the demonstration, on 13 December, will introduce its features and capabilities.
