Winners at 7th Annual Jersey TechAwards reflect diversity of evolving digital sector

An AI platform that understands human emotion, a fintech business that makes cross-border payments easier, and a campaign aimed at raising awareness around dementia were all amongst the winners at the 7th Annual Jersey TechAwards, announced at an awards ceremony last week.

Organised by Digital Jersey and with support from new headline sponsor EWG, the Awards, held last Friday (17th October) at the Royal Jersey Showground, were attended by more than 520 people making it the largest Jersey TechAwards yet. The event was hosted by acclaimed stand-up comedian Angela Barnes, with high-energy immersive entertainment experience provided by DJ Mel Fusion.

Featuring 14 categories – including a new AI Award – the Awards were judged by an independent panel of experts with the winners reflecting the high calibre of talent across Jersey’s digital sector and the wider economy.

The winners were:

  • Cyber Security & Data Protection Award, sponsored by JT: Enso Solutions – connecting, securing and transforming business
  • Fintech Award, sponsored by Quantios: Flagstone International – optimising cross-border cash management
  • AI Award, sponsored by Sure Business: Sentient Machines – AI-driven conversation analytics
  • Start-Up Award, sponsored by NatWest International: Hiizzy – selling homes, reinvented
  • Productivity Award, sponsored by Cirrus: Flagstone International – optimising cross-border cash management
  • Company Award, sponsored by Switch Digital: Delta Events – HM The King’s Visit
  • Public & Third Sector Award, sponsored by KPMG in the Crown Dependencies: Government Digital Services Team – Office Accommodation Project, technical enablement and digital onboarding

Commenting on the Awards, Tony Moretta, CEO, Digital Jersey, said:

The chosen charity for this year’s Jersey TechAwards was Mind Jersey, an independent local charity that provides support to people living with mental illness.
