Jersey Employment Trust (JET) are putting together an employability programme for year 10s and year 11s in secondary Schools. The target group will consist of students with barriers to employment, primarily a disability or long term health condition (this could include for example physical disability, visual impairment, hearing impairment, autism, learning disability etc).

JET will be working with the groups over a period of 6 weeks in order to assess core work skills such as teamwork, communication, problem solving, motivation etc and these sessions will take place between September and March 2015/2016.

JET would also like to give the group options to attend practical skills workshops to give them an insight into different industries and will assist individuals to select choices that are realistic and relevant.

CALLING THE TECH INDUSTRY
