On 6th March Professor Stephen Heppell brought his infamous Be Very Afraid event to Jersey, providing students on the island of opportunities to learn and showcase their ingenuity with technology.

The video below shows some of the key highlights…

On the day, there was no judging, or "best". It was a true celebration of what students – of all ages – can do, and every group did something exceptional!

Many of the children worked on projects using coding software called Scratch, to create elaborate mazes to motion games. Others built snake robots and drones, some created animation in different languages.  All of them produced something inspiring and left as fully qualified BVA experts, with tech goodies and an Go-Tab tablet from Digital Jersey to use within their Schools.

In the words of Professor Stephen Heppell,

“After seeing the ingenuity of this lot, Jersey doesn’t need to be afraid, it’s safe in their hands”.
