GDPR: MANAGING RISK AND STAFF TRAINING

By now, you should be aware that the new General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) is coming into force from May, but have you started to manage the risk to your business and are you dealing with the highest risk to data breaches – your staff?

We have a lunchtime seminar from David Sumner, a GDPR and Data Security Management specialist from the UK.

David is a former Police Director of Intelligence and Head of Criminal Justice. He served on the NATO Mission Resolute Support in Afghanistan as the Senior Police Intelligence Advisor to the Mission Commander and was the appointed Mentor to the Director General of the Afghan Police Intelligence Service. Whilst deployed on the mission he gave expert advice to the Afghan Home Secretary on intelligence management and data security.

David is a qualified General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) Practitioner and is actively involved leading GDPR implementation in organisations as an independent consultant. He has successfully influenced government for amendments to post Brexit UK Data Protection Draft Legislation.

David is the GDPR Subject Matter Expert for, and author of, Olive Media’s GDPR Staff Awareness certificated elearning endorsed by HFW Law.

David has also recently been on the same seminar platform as the Irish Attorney General and Data Commissioner and has been a key speaker at a recent Lloyds of London event.

If you would like to come along and hear his advice, book now. Numbers are limited so please only book if you are definitely attending.
