Paul Arnold, Managing Director of Lapin Logic, recently launched an initiative known as the ‘Channel Island Game Developers’ Facebook Group.
Inspiration struck as Mr. Arnold became an active member of the ‘Southampton Game Developers’ Facebook Group. His educational background in Computer and Video Game Design, acquired at Solent University between 2003 and 2006, enabled him to access this thriving community. The group, a vibrant hub for game developers and enthusiasts in Southampton, provided an exemplary platform for sharing, networking, and organising meetups.
Mr. Arnold passionately shared his vision for extending this sense of community beyond Southampton to the Channel Islands, saying, “I always wanted to introduce something similar for the Channel Islands but wasn’t sure if their were that many game developers in the Channel Islands to warrant such a group. Happily I have been proved very wrong. The group has only been in existence for just over 3 weeks but it already has 36 members.”
