Digital Jersey recently launched its 2015 membership, attracting 113 new members in its first month. The membership is open to all companies, partners and individuals who are interested in the development and growth of Jersey’s digital sector.

There are four types of membership on offer, namely, Tech, Partner, Community and Virtual. Memberships are offered both annually and monthly. Benefits vary depending on the type of membership chosen, including: 24/7 use of the Digital Jersey Hub, free access to workshops and events, directory listing, publication of showcases on the Digital Jersey website and sponsorship opportunities. The aim of the membership is to support partners, members of industry and the wider community to work towards growth of the digital sector and a digitally enabled society.

More details regarding the varied membership offering include:

  • Tech Membership is open to startups, individuals and companies that operate in the digital sector with digital products and services as their core function. An annual fee of £200 or £19 a month, applies to individuals who wish to register in their own name or for a company with 1 employee. For larger companies, the fees start at an annual fee of £420 based on the total number of employees. For startups that have been operating for less than six months, the first six months of the membership is free.
  • Partner Membership is open to service providers and companies who do not operate in the digital sector but wish to be involved and support digital businesses and Digital Jersey. The partner membership provides an opportunity to collaborate with Digital Jersey’s member network and build brand exposure.  Annual fees start at £500.
  • Community membership is open to Non Profit Organisations, students and teachers working in full-time education. There is no cost.
  • Virtual Membership is open to all companies, partners and individuals who are interested in receiving updates regarding the latest Digital Jersey activity. There is no cost.

Carla Harris, director of Digital Jersey commented:

“We are delighted that our new membership has attracted such a keen interest so far. The membership is a fantastic opportunity for us to provide support to both startups and companies within the digital sector to work towards strong growth and development of the digital landscape in Jersey as a highly important and ubiquitous area. We are also very keen to work with partner members and their product and service offerings to introduce a new and developing client base.”

Tech Member, Danny Bannister of Total Solutions Group:

"Our engagement with Digital Jersey has been on an individual and corporate basis with significant benefit derived in both areas. We have attended thought provoking and interesting seminars, found new talented recruits and contact has been facilitated with influential decision makers. I am very much looking forward to our products and services being part of the Member & Services Directory. I can speak for my business and team when I say not only do we enjoy our engagements with Digital Jersey but the island’s technical industry, of which we are a part, is now fully represented and gaining world-wide recognition as a centre of technical excellence and innovation."

An informal meeting will follow on Thursday 20th February 12.00-13.00 at Digital Jersey Hub whereby we invite all members of the public to join us and learn more about the membership offering. Please register your interest by emailing [email protected]
