At Doodle labs, we’re calling upon all of Jersey’s aspiring web designers and developers. The task, to design and build a single page website for a business of your choice. The prize, a new iPhone 11!
The competition is split into two age groups which are ages 14-16 and 17-21. There is an iPhone to be won in each group!
Your competition entry must facilitate a business’ needs e.g. Providing links to buy products or details of services with the ability to contact the business. You will be required to provide your rationale. Did you follow best practices? Did you solve a business problem? You must write your code in HTML, CSS and if you are feeling adventurous use some JavaScript as well! No server-side languages like PHP can be used.
We have designed and built the ‘Student Station’ which is an online hub with links to web development tutorials and the brief. As part of the competition, we are providing you with FREE web hosting on one of our servers. Use this hosting to display your competition entry on the World Wide Web. Once the competition is over your hosting will remain and you can use it for whatever web projects you like!
