FEMALE entrepreneurs in Jersey have just weeks left to apply for a new initiative that could land them £20,000-worth of advertising support, year-long mentorship, and unrivalled visibility across the Island’s top media platforms.

FLARE – short for Female Leaders And Rising Entrepreneurs – has been launched by All Island Media and aims to boost women-led businesses at every stage of their journey.

The programme, which is supported by SRM Accountancy, Cohen Family Law and Alt Collective, will award one outstanding Jersey entrepreneur a comprehensive support package designed to “genuinely accelerate their growth”.

FLARE is designed to elevate female founders in Jersey by giving them access to mentorship, visibility and real marketing support to help their business grow,” AIM business development manager Rosie Lee explained.

Not limited to established businesses, FLARE is open to anyone from those “sitting on an idea, just launched or really ready to scale”, she added.

All applicants will benefit from mentorship and expert guidance, but the winner is set to gain a game-changing partnership.

“The winning entrepreneur will receive £20,000-worth of advertising support from All Island Media in 2026 – so that is designed to genuinely accelerate their growth. But beyond that, they are also going to gain mentoring, editorial coverage, podcast exposure and year long visibility across all our platforms,” Ms Lee explained. “It isn’t just a prize, it is a strategic partnership.”

Winners will work closely with the All Island Media team to develop a tailored marketing plan across the year, with objectives matched to the entrepreneur’s specific needs.

The judging process, which will take place in February, will weigh both business potential and personal drive, according to Ms Lee.

“I think [judges] will be looking at the person behind that idea as well as the idea itself. And I think it really comes from understanding the market, the clarity, the vision, and how that applicant is going to look at the scalability and the community impact as well,” she said.

The initiative will culminate around International Women’s Day on 8 March, with Ms Lee calling the timing “perfectly and seamlessly” aligned.

“Although International Women’s Day is about celebrating progress, I believe it’s also about recognising the work still to be done. And for women in business, it’s a reminder that support visibility and opportunity do matter. That’s why I think launching FLARE at this time felt right, because it does move that conversation into action, definitely.”

Ms Lee, who said the initiative particularly resonated with her after launching her own events business during the pandemic, hopes FLARE’s message will empower more women to take the plunge.

Asked her advice for other female entrepreneurs, she said: “Stop waiting until everything feels perfect. You don’t need to know everything to start. You just need to start.”

Don’t miss out!
Applications for FLARE close on 31 January, and winners will be chosen by an expert panel in February.

Mentors and sponsors from across Jersey’s business community are also being sought to guide participants and contribute to the island’s next entrepreneurial success stories.
