Digital Jersey confirms O3b Networks (O3b) will lead their November Seminar at the Digital Jersey Hub on 18th November from 5.30pm – 7:00pm. O3b are a Jersey start-up company that succeeded in rapidly growing their customer base from nothing to three billion in only four years.
O3b, headquartered in Jersey, is the first and only global satellite service provider that is capable of transporting network traffic with lower latency than long haul fibre to any location. The company became fully financed in 2010 and since then they have reached over 3 billion customers worldwide, including emerging and insufficiently connected markets in Latin America, Africa, the Middle East, Asia and the Pacific.
The seminar will provide the opportunity for attendees who are passionate about technical innovation to understand the business’ pioneering technology in depth. To begin the event, Andy Jarrett, Director at Digital Jersey, will introduce O3b’s Charles Hannaford, Commercial Director and Jon Leckie, Legal Counsel to attendees via video introduction. The O3b team will explain how they expanded their customers from zero to three billion by describing the technology behind their product, the business journey, including both the existing challenges and what could lie ahead.
