A Career at Prosperity 24/7 - Great Minds Create Great Futures for Everyone

Why choose a career with Prosperity 24/7? Great minds create great futures. For everyone.

Back in 2011, Chris Clark, CEO of Prosperity 24/7, set out on a mission to create a business, serving both the local and international marketplace, that would accelerate digital transformation and enable people to make the most of technology with real results.

Quickly becoming the Channel Islands’ fastest growing business and technology consultancy practice, Prosperity 24/7 has become a household name and has major plans for sustainable growth. The team of great minds supports more than 300 clients in 18 jurisdictions, has successfully delivered 1,895 successful projects, with 340 of those actively being delivered in partnership with some of the biggest global names in technology. On top of all of this, Prosperity have raised more than £118,000 for charity through the annual Prosperity Day virtual cycling challenge.

For a challenger technology business to grow into one of the most trusted and largest IT partners in the Channel Islands in a relatively short space of time, Chris puts it down to making sure that technology works the way people work; “For any relationship to thrive it needs to be based on pragmatism, trust and honesty. Keeping up with the latest technology trends, implementing a new system or carrying out large scale organisational change can be daunting, but our philosophy, which remains at the heart of Prosperity 24/7’s culture and ethos ten years later, is simple. If we do our best to help each other then we can all prosper. That means that if we look after our clients, our colleagues and our community equally, then we can all prosper.”

“We do everything with passion and bags of energy because we want everyone to enjoy working together. We love new tech and imparting innovative business ideas. We care deeply about our clients’ colleagues, their data, systems and projects and people, and we want share with them, ‘the art of the possible’ and implement efficient technology and processes that simply work. Anything less, isn’t good enough.”

Chris goes on to talk about what this philosophy means in practice to his team. “As an employer, we understand that if we are to live up to our role of making lives easier through technology, then we need to provide a supportive and permissive environment where our colleagues can learn, grow, thrive and prosper.”

“Staying up to speed with the latest developments means that our colleagues can’t be purely focused on their client work, they also need to have time to free their minds for creativity and innovation, which we support in a number of ways.”

“We promote and encourage employee wellbeing and work/life balance. We create an inclusive workplace which allows employees from all backgrounds and walks of life to achieve their fullest potential. We have a reward structure that can be fully achieved within normal working hours. Ultimately, we want a happy, healthy team who are able to reach their personal and career development goals with us, while delighting our clients.”

Prosperity 24/7 has led the way as the workplace has changed and working behaviours have evolved. The team feel trusted to make the best of their time. They are supported through a hybrid working model, whether that be working in the office, on a client site, from home or anywhere else suitable! In fact, we are so committed to modern working practices, Prosperity is developing a brand new custom built flexible workplace at St Helier’s Waterfront to engage our great minds even more.

Even when projects are tough and often require delivery to client defined deadlines, the work hard, play hard philosophy rings true. Hard work is truly appreciated. But so is personal time, it is truly championed to ensure proper breaks with a full ‘digital detox’ encouraged during holidays.

Understanding that a hybrid model can mean less team connection and staying at home can make people feel isolated, Prosperity 24/7’s mental health first aiders drive wellbeing initiatives to make sure people get out and connect with people who they don’t have a chance to chat to on a regular basis. Throughout 2021 we held (in work hours) team dog walks or walk and talks as well as regular social events. This provided an opportunity to identify when colleagues may be finding the isolation caused by the pandemic tough, so we could focus on greater connectivity and support.

Continuous personal development is essential in technology and training is available for all colleagues, across all dimensions of the growing business.

Regarding Prosperity’s responsibilities in society, the team is actively encouraged to consider how they can contribute to the community, either via company initiatives such as Prosperity Day or their own challenges and activities. Colleagues work together to support each other, in every aspect of their lives.

But don’t just take Chris’s word for it!

Hollie Allen, who has been with the business since 2018 and has recently been promoted to Senior Consultant in the Strategy and Change team sums it up best, “I can always rely on any member of Prosperity 24/7 to be ready to call on for help, advice or a quick peer review of work. They support me professionally and personally. Always listening and always looking out for me.”
