C5 Alliance today announce the promotion of Director and Head of Process and Platforms, Aonghus Fraser to the more senior role of C5 Alliance Group Chief Technology Officer (CTO).

In his new role as CTO, Aonghus will take the lead in developing opportunities in the Professional Services Division in both Jersey and Guernsey. Aonghus' responsibilities will involve working more closely with clients, helping them to understand the various ways C5 Alliance can help them to reach their strategic and business goals. Aonghus will represent the company at global events such as Microsoft's Ignite and Partner conferences to promote the skills and services C5 can offer, and ensure C5 continues to be able to offer innovative solutions to its clients in order to change the way the Channel Islands use technology for positive impact. He will also help to identify the skills shortages in the various teams across the company and will assist with seeking out and developing new talent.

Aonghus joined C5 Alliance in 2011 as the head of Process and Platforms, acting as the company's Microsoft SharePoint Lead Consultant and was promoted to Director in January 2014. Prior to working at C5 Alliance he held the role of Chief Technology Officer at a UK Microsoft Gold Partner and led a team of consultants working on some of the UK's largest SharePoint deployments.

Mark Loane, CEO of the C5 Alliance Group, commented:

"Aonghus has proven himself as an extremely valuable member of the C5 team in Jersey and was an obvious choice for this promotion. In his new role he will have the added responsibility of overseeing technology strategy in both Jersey and Guernsey. Aonghus will be working closely with key technology partners including Microsoft to make sure our clients have the best up-to-date advice. I'm confident Aonghus will excel as CTO and will continue to represent C5 as a leader in technology for the Channel Islands."

Aonghus Fraser, commented:

"Technology is moving at a faster pace than ever, keeping abreast of change in this space is a challenge in itself, which I'm delighted to accept! I've always been passionate about solving problems with technology and I look forward to leading a great team of experienced consultants and helping our clients achieve their goals by continuing to deliver innovative solutions. I will continue to speak at and attend conferences both on and off island and promote new and better ways of working."
