C5 Alliance has been recognised by Microsoft as an expert provider of Internet of Things (IoT) technology after being included as one of just ten Microsoft Azure IoT Partners operating in the UK.

The recognition follows C5’s recent work with the States of Jersey and Liberty Bus on the Track My Bus tool, which utilises the technology, allowing users to see a live interactive map of all the buses in Jersey.C5’s inclusion in Microsoft’s IoT partner community demonstrates that the company’s IoT innovation creates a positive impact both locally and on an international level.Microsoft communicate with Partner organisations to gain insights into how their technologies are being used and invited C5 Alliance to the Microsoft UK HQ to demonstrate how Track My Bus utilises IoT earlier this year.Aonghus Fraser, Chief Technology Officer at C5 Alliance, commented:“We are thrilled to have been recognised by Microsoft among an elite of experts using IoT technologies in the UK. Connected devices are a hot topic in the digital world – according to estimates from Gartner, 6.4 billion connected things will be in use in 2016 – and Microsoft are interested in the diverse ways in which their platforms are being used. At C5 we’re always looking to build on our solutions and innovate as technology evolves, and we already have a lot of exciting IoT projects in the pipeline! ”
