Digital Jersey welcomes board member and venture capitalist Ivan Nikkhoo to present a free and interactive seminar, ‘How to Pitch to a Venture Capitalist’, at the Digital Jersey Hub on Monday, 20 July from 5:30pm.
Everyone who has seen Dragons’ Den knows that making a winning pitch can be tough. While Dragons’ Den is TV drama, real life is no easier, and unlocking venture capital takes preparation, practice and perseverance.
Venture Capitalists (VC) invest in startup companies that have a unique technology or business model with perceived long-term growth potential. Ivan has over 30 years’ experience in this field and will share some personal insights on what he looks for in a pitch before investing, as well as the importance of investing in teams. Ivan will guide participants through the steps that lead to success, from finding the right VC through to preparing and presenting.
Ivan Nikkhoo is currently Managing Director at Siemer & Associates, a global merchant bank focused on digital media and technologies. As a VC, Ivan specialises in growing emerging technology companies by helping them to develop teams and take their business to the next level. Ivan’s seminar will provide an opportunity for startups, companies and individuals to gain business insights directly from a leading figure in the industry.
