Digital Jersey Limited, the organisation established to position Jersey as a centre for digital business, is delighted to commence the New Year by announcing the appointment of its new Chief Executive Officer, TED RIDGWAY WATT.

With over 20 years of experience in innovation, technology and connecting international business to the United Kingdom (UK) science base, Ted specialises in working with new technology companies, established corporates and government. He has successfully facilitated technology investments and transfers on a worldwide basis, with substantial previous experience in mentoring and coaching to both businesses and individuals.

During his time as an expert advisor for London's Tech City Investment Organisation, Ted regularly spoke at key industry forums, universities and business schools, including the London Business School and Cambridge Judge Business School. He developed a comprehensive portfolio of start-ups, SMEs and corporates, many of whom (including British Telecom, Samsung, Siemens and Research in Motion) credit him with facilitating significant innovation and investment in the UK.

Chairman of Digital Jersey, Paul Masterton commented:

“Ted has broad experience in both national and international business development, and possesses exactly the skill-set and knowledge required for the successful development of Digital Jersey, as an organisation and the digital economy in the island.

He brings with him a deep understanding of digital culture and proven foresight in terms of technology trends. In particular his experience facilitating inward technology transfer in targeted areas will greatly benefit Jersey.”

Following his appointment, Ted Ridgway Watt, commented:
