Prosperity 24/7 is using World Bicycle Day to launch the 10th edition of its annual charity fundraiser, Prosperity Day. Since the first event in 2015, the event has raised over £160,000 thanks to the teams of corporate rivals who have taken part since the beginning, many of them coming back year after year. This year, to celebrate the 10th event, Prosperity hopes to hit a grand total of £200,000 and will split the £40,000 they are looking to raise between this year’s chosen charities, Jersey Hospice Care and Healing Waves.

The 10th Prosperity Day will take place at Prosperity 24/7 ‘s new waterfront headquarters on Friday 6 September with up to 18 teams of three going ‘head to head to head’ in a fast paced stationary cycling challenge. Using Wahoo KICKR bikes to complete a virtual stage race using 3D Race technology, the teams will compete against each other to gain race day points which are added to their all-important fundraising totals to top the podium.

There are three registrations fees at bronze, silver and gold to enable the teams to kickstart their fundraising, depending on how ambitious they are feeling. All each team needs is three able riders and a keenness to raise as much money as possible for Jersey Hospice Care and Healing Waves.

Chris Clark, Prosperity’s CEO said, “This year’s fundraising target is our most ambitious yet but we’re hoping that our corporate teams will easily be able to raise £2,000 a piece to get us to our £40,000 target for two incredible charities that mean so much to our island community.”

“We started Prosperity Day because we wanted to do something that made a difference. We could not have imagined the positive impact we’ve had on so many people’s lives. It is simply incredible what the local business community has managed to achieve over the last 10 years.”

Registration is open now for Prosperity Day 2024 via Race Nation.
